Digital press manufacturer Ricoh will be highlighting its sheetfed toner-based production devices at Gulf Print & Pack 2025, including the Pro C9500 series, Pro C7500 series, Pro C5300 series and the Pro 8400 series.
In an interview with Gulf Print & Pack, Denis Moll - Commercial Director EMEA at Ricoh International explained: ‘Our Auto Color Adjuster is a must-see solution for anyone looking to improve their color-matching capabilities and results. Customers will also have the opportunity to discuss the potential for high volume inkjet systems at the exhibition.’
When questioned about increasing their presence in the embellishment markets, since personalization is the current and future trend, Moll replied: ‘Ricoh offers the Pro C7500 series which provides a full set of embellishment capabilities with the 5th station. This 5th station enables customer to print CMYK with speciality toner colors. If clear toner is added to images and logos, it can create unique patterns for luxury effects, or dramatic effects can be created with white toner on dark media. Bespoke branding can be accomplished with silver on labels, neon pink and yellow toners can create impact, or blending CMYK with gold or silver toners can produce an incredible range of metallic hues. We also see a growing demand in short run packaging for personalization.’
Many global brands are making the significant shift towards sustainable packaging, setting ambitious goals to eliminate plastics or switching to recyclable packaging, taking concrete steps to a circular approach.
‘Ricoh has set clear sustainability targets that align to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris agreement,’ says Dennis Moll. ‘Our environmental efforts include creating a circular economy. In 1994, we developed the Comet Circle™ – our blueprint for a truly sustainable business. This guides activity across our entire supply chain and sets out how all raw materials are used, re-used, remanufactured or recycled. As a concrete example, Ricoh Pro 8400 series set new standards for sustainability. Diverting waste from landfill, they are manufactured using 25% post-consumer recycled plastic and 33% electric recycled steel. In addition, plastic packaging has been reduced by 50%.”
