Canon has announced its participation in Gulf Print & Pack 2025, as Headline Sponsor of the first edition of the successful show in Riyadh, to be held from January 14th to 16th at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center (RFECC).
In an interview with Gulf Print & Pack, Ayman Aly, Marketing Director, B2B, Canon Middle East, said:
"We are delighted to showcase Canon's innovative solutions at Gulf Print & Pack 2025 in Riyadh, bringing a selection of technologies and support services we highlighted at DRUPA to the Middle East. This event marks a significant milestone following the graduation of our first group of Canon Printing Consultant Program (CPC Program). These consultants, now equipped to advise businesses across key sectors like commercial printing, publishing, décor, packaging, and corporate in-house printing, will be instrumental in supporting the Kingdom's evolving print and packaging industry and its digital transformation. Our participation underscores our commitment to Saudi Vision 2030's goals for economic diversification and technological advancement."
When asked about the technologies Canon will exhibit at the event, Aly explained:
"We believe traditional offset printing and digital workflows complement each other. By offering technologies that enhance existing offset operations alongside cutting-edge digital solutions, we are well-positioned to support businesses at various stages of their digital transition. This comprehensive approach enables Canon to bridge the gap between traditional and modern printing methods, capitalizing on the Kingdom's diverse and expanding print market."
Listing the production printers that will be showcased, Aly continued:
"We will present our innovative solutions, including the varioPRESS iV7 B2 press and LabelStream 2000 digital label printers, which will be virtually demonstrated with samples, digital content, and product specialists from our EMEA HQ. These solutions reflect Canon’s dedication to flexibility, customization, and evolving market demands. For the interior décor sector, Canon will present digital printing solutions that transform spaces aesthetically and functionally. This lineup includes the Arizona series for rigid media, the UVgel/Colorado M-series for high-productivity roll-to-roll printing, and the imagePROGRAF series for premium photo and fine art applications. These are supported by the PRISMA XL Suite software, enabling Print Service Providers to manage diverse customer needs efficiently. The showcase will also feature a mezzanine area highlighting retail interior décor, signage, and commercial applications, emphasizing Canon’s versatility in serving this market."
Canon will also highlight the VP 6330 TITAN and imagePRESS V1000 for high-quality color book production alongside PRISMA workflow solutions for enhanced efficiency. The ColorStream 8000 series will demonstrate production efficiencies, and Canon’s involvement in the Publishing 2030 Accelerator will emphasize its commitment to sustainable change and print-on-demand services in the global book industry.
Expanding into digital packaging printing, Canon will showcase the capabilities of its UVgel Packaging Factory, built on the Colorado M-series and Neolt technology, enabling on-demand corrugated packaging production. Additionally, the Arizona 1360 FLXflow will be presented for short-run packaging needs.
For commercial print and promotional communications, Canon will demonstrate the power of personalized print in omnichannel marketing. The varioPRESS iV7 B2 press and LabelStream 2000 will be virtually showcased for their flexibility across various applications, including direct mail, postcards, and retail materials. The imagePRESS 1350 will also feature sustainability-focused print applications and a range of finished products, showcasing Canon's end-to-end workflow capabilities.
